New York State Pension Earns 1.4% in Q1 of Fiscal 2024
The New York State Common Retirement Fund’s asset value remained unchanged at $267.7 billion due to $4.2 billion in payouts.
The pension giant also released an annual survey evaluating the stewardship of its external asset managers.
Public and private assets helped the pension fund swing from a loss one year earlier to raise its asset value to $471.5 billion.
The fund’s asset value rose to $254.1 billion, a big improvement from the prior-year period.
Pensions’ largest quarterly gain followed their largest quarterly loss.
