Methodology
The 2024 CIO Outsourced Chief Investment Officer Survey was fielded from March to April 2024.
Forty-five asset owners participated in our asset owner portion of the survey, which was then aggregated into the following tables. We analyzed the data on some of the following topics: owners who initiated a search to replace their existing OCIO provider(s), the percentage of the portfolio that is outsourced, the average size of the investment staff organization by type and outsourcing goals.
Additionally, there are 26 OCIO provider profiles included that delve into the OCIO business model, the percentage of total firm revenue and the breakdown of discretionary assets by fund type.
