Spider Management is wholly owned by the University of Richmond (UR) and was founded in 2001 to manage the investments of UR’s endowment. Spider has since evolved to provide investment management services to a select group of other non-profits through a unique OCIO model. All assets are invested as one portfolio and all investors earn the same gross rate of return. Spider’s primary investment objective is to generate strong risk-adjusted investment returns through a portfolio invested across public equity long-only, absolute return-oriented strategies, private equity, and real assets. Spider has a significant allocation to alternative investments with the objectives to both enhance returns and reduce volatility. |
