It’s not surprising where the industry legend shines: Around its people. NISA earns solid marks for “accessibility to investment team” (4.58) and “responsiveness to general inquiries” (4.69), but with ratings down from the prior year again, the specialist has fallen mid-pack in 2016’s league tables. If plan sponsors weren’t as generous in scoring as they were in 2015, it’s impressive that NISA attracted nearly a quarter more responses than the next firm in the survey, with more than half being “extremely satisfied.” Plus, the LDI stalwart that once celebrated its cloistered status in St. Louis has made deeper in-roads among consultants and boards.
