The Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association has unveiled a new approach that provides bundled access to its curriculum to candidates planning to sit for the March 2023 CAIA exam, at no additional charge outside of registration fees. This effectively changes the previous system where study materials were sold separately and not included with exam registration.

The CAIA curriculum is regularly updated to reflect the fast-evolving alternative investment sector and is focused on preparing analysts to be client-oriented, according to a press release. “Alternatives have gone mainstream, and investment professionals putting alternatives to work, researching alternative approaches, and managing alternative exposures owe it to their end clients to be as educated and prepared as possible,” John L. Bowman, executive vice president of CAIA Association, said in a statement. “This new model, which we are thrilled to be unveiling, is a powerful tool not only for the individual but for our collective space as we strive to move towards a more client-centric model in alternative investing.”

Registration for the exam cycle opens on October 3, and CAIA, in addition to its new bundled access, is lowering the price for early enrollment by $400. The changes in CAIA’s offerings are to encourage more professionals to pursue their CAIA charter and give them access to relevant materials as early as possible in their studies for accreditation, the press release says.
