Environment Agency Pension Fund (EAPF) CIO Mark Mansley will be leaving his post to become CIO for the £25 billion Brunel Pension Partnership.

As of their most recent annual report and financial statement, the EAPF reported “around £3.5 billion in assets,” exceeding performance expectations over its three-year valuation period and maintaining its AAA rating for four years in a row. The EAPF currently ranks second in the Asset Owners Disclosure Project Global Climate 500 Asset Owners Index.

“It has been a pleasure to work at the EAPF over the last six years helping to build what I feel is one of the best medium sized pension funds in the world,” Mansley told CIO via email. However, this is not goodbye – Brunel will be taking over responsibility for the selection and monitoring of managers for the EAPF assets next year, together with nine other funds, as we seek to build on the progress we have made at EAPF and raise our standards further, with a focus on professionalism, efficiency and responsibility.”

Mansley will begin his new endeavor on September 1. It has not been named on who will succeed him as CIO at EAPF.
