Dear CIOs,

Last week, the markets took investors for a hell of a ride. After the coronavirus spread to countries like Iran, Italy, and South Korea, the markets plunged into correction territory, and had money managers everywhere scrambling to soothe investors. The effects are still reverberating in the investment world, especially as the US sees an uptick in its own cases. At last count, nine people have died in Washington State alone.

Here at Chief Investment Officer, we want everyone to take the appropriate cautions to protect themselves against the disease. We also want to know: How has the coronavirus impacted your organization? Are your teams suspending travel? Reassessing portfolios? What are you doing in response?

If you would like to share your experience, please email us at CIOeditors@strategic-i.com. We’d like to hear from chief investment officers, managers, and teams as well.
