Neuberger Berman Group LLC this week announced veteran investment manager Jeff Blazek as its new co-CIO for multi-asset strategies.
Previously the New York office leader at investment and consulting firm Cambridge Associates, Blazek has spent more than 25 years in the asset management field.
At Neuberger, founded in 1939, Blazek will work with co-CIO Erik Knutzen and report to Doug Kramer, head of institutional equities and multi-asset. Blazek will also co-chair Neuberger’s asset allocation and public private investment committees and join Neuberger’s investment risk committee.
Earlier in his career, Blazek held senior investment positions with New York-Presbyterian Hospital and the Teacher Retirement System of Texas.
Blazek “brings a depth and breadth of experience, both in investment consulting and asset management, that will be critical as we continue to grow our multi-asset practice,” Kramer said in a statement.
Neuberger manages $481 billion of stocks, fixed income, private equity, real estate and hedge fund portfolios for global institutions, advisers and individuals.
