Aon Hewitt’s Global Consulting Chief Departs

Yvan Legris is leaving the industry after a career spanning three decades.

Aon Hewitt’s Global CEO of Consulting Yvan Legris is to leave the firm after more than 30 years.

Legris will also leave the pension industry later this year, a spokesperson confirmed, following a transition period.

Legris’ responsibilities for retirement and investment consulting will be taken on by Cary Grace, according to the multi-national consulting and asset management company. Grace is president of client solutions and strategy at Aon Hewitt, as well as CEO of Aon Exchange Solutions. a division of Aon Hewitt.

London-based Legris joined Hewitt Associates in 1985 as an actuarial trainee, going on to lead the group’s West Indies operations, client development in the UK, and later president of Hewitt’s global consulting business.

Hewitt merged with Aon in 2010, whereupon Legris became CEO for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa for the new Aon Hewitt entity. He was appointed global CEO in 2012.

The transition period will last until the end of June, the spokesperson said, after which Legris will pursue a “long-term ambition… to contribute to the leadership of a global humanitarian organization.”
