In the words of the philosopher Matshona Dhliwayo, “Stars don’t beg the world for attention; their beauty forces us to look up.”
This year, we all can use a reason to look up and see those who are about to change the world for the better.
When we put out a call for the brightest rising stars on the allocator scene, CIO received a torrent of nominations throughout the industry, as it has for the past nine years. We learn about the sharpest minds and the young leaders who are making indelible marks, driving innovation, and becoming industry game-changers.
CIO’s NextGen 2020 series brings you inside the minds of this class. NextGens are those who have what it takes to rise to the top, and who are noted for having the traits of future chief investment officers. In this series, they each answer a set of questions that reveal their strategies, personalities, and dream mentors. NextGen 2020 also spotlights the star qualities they are known for, with words spoken directly from their head allocators and chief investment officers.
COVID-19 is our special theme this year. We use it as a platform to share the dynamic insights and perspectives from this generation, as they write about the future of the world that will be changed forever. (Please note, many of their answers are reflective of markets through early May.)
You can encourage these rising leaders, and share your thoughts on social media, using the hashtag #2020NextGenCIO.
