UK’s Pensions Trust Hires Amid Strategy Overhaul

The appointment of an executive scheme manager is part of a management restructure led by new CEO Mike Ramsey.

The Pensions Trust, a UK-based multi-employer pension, has appointed Andy O’Regan as executive scheme manager as it implements a new management strategy.

The £6 billion ($9 billion) pension hired O’Regan in December from KPMG, following the appointment of Mike Ramsey as chief executive in September. The Pensions Trust said it was making “several appointments” as part of a strategy overhaul.

O’Regan will lead the team serving the employers and committees for whom The Pensions Trust caters.

“The last few months have been a time of exciting change at The Pensions Trust, with… a move to restructure the business to focus on the defined benefit legacy market,” said Ramsey.

Ramsey was confirmed as the full-time successor to former CEO Stephen Nichols six months ago, having replaced him on an interim basis in March.

The Pensions Trust manages the pension funds of a number of charities and smaller government bodies.
