Movers and Shakers: 8 Consultants Join Mercers’ Alternative Investment Group

Mercer has expanded coverage in North America, Europe and Australia.

(February 16, 2010) – Mercer has announced the addition of eight consultants for its private equity and alternative investment strategies.

 

Laura Milligan: Will head North America’s private equity strategy research in Chicago.

Christopher Schelling: A recent business school graduate, named Mercer’s hedge fund researcher in Chicago. Previously, he worked at Thomson Reuters’ capital markets group as director of alternative investments.

 

Michelle “Shelley” Elson: A recent business school graduate, named Mercer’s senior associate to focus on hedge fund research in Chicago. Previously, she worked as an associate focusing on private equity strategies at Adams Street Partners and as an analyst at Glenwood Capital Investments.

 

Simon Fox: Will focus on hedge funds, timber, commodities and agriculture investment strategies in London.

 

Robert Howie: Mercer consulting employee moved to London, responsible for hedge fund, infrastructure and insurance-linked securities research.

 

Sanjay Mistry: Will focus on private equity and private debt in London.

 

Amarik Ubhi: Moved to London to deal with infrastructure and Asia Pacific equities.

 

Jennifer Cowan: Named senior associate of Mercer’s alternative investment group in Sydney, Australia. She will specialize in research on unlisted assets, including private equity. Previously, she worked as a senior analyst at Mariner Financial.
